Wholesome HQ Tour

What's Up Wholesome Peeps?!?

Allow me to indulge you. I took a quick tour to the Workshop 4200 building and got an inside look on what it is like inside the Wholesome headquarters while learning a little bit of history...

Black and white punk rock zine. On left side is an image Big Stick. Man with balck hair and guitar facing down. Woman next to him with leg over new. Right side of page is a cartoon about "The Great Punk Political Divide!"

When at Wholesome, it was always one WOW effect after another. From visiting the WholesomeRadio studio to exploring booths inside the Studio-b3 recording studio, I had an exclusive inside look. One of my favorites, was looking at original issues of WholesomeZine - the paper version containing interviews with bands and artists in their prime, from back in the day. Some of them are still making music today. The way the interviews were pasted in the Zine, word from word, with awesome illustrations and creativity, was inspiring. It was even more fun as I flipped pages to see different artists, illustrations, and styles.

After touring the main office I explored more and saw other spaces, such as the areas where artists, producers, and bands can rent hourly or monthly private studios. There is also a space for WholesomeZine events where people can connect, vibe, and listen to music of upcoming and already known groups and artists.

So, whenever you see yourself driving around the Northwest side of Chicago, take a visit to WholesomeZine, or give a call especially if you're a singer, young artist or a band member who is trying to find the right place that will spread your work.
